High Voltage Tattoo

The owner of this tattoo shop is one of the coolest chicks I’ve ever met. The first time I met her, she was calling me from a white soccer mom van. She was following me on the highway and got my # off my airbrushed tailgate. We pulled into a parking lot, then this 20-something hot 5’3” little girl wearing a longsleve thermal top, blue 70s puffy vest, tight jenes, moon boots and two long blond pigtails got out of this van. Oh Yeah.

We started talking and she said that she was part of a Mardis Gras party at a biker bar and wondered if I could airbrush some girls at the party. No problem. I found a super hot chick to paint and the party was a blast.

She had a tattoo shop down the street and since she liked my artwork so much, she asked if I would trick-out the front of her shop. I composed the lay-out in my sketchbook, made a few changes with one of the skin artists there and busted out the airbrush. This project was all-around fun. The shop is amazing and the people there really know how to throw a party. If the cops haven’t shown up (yet), they’re on the way.

Is this in New Orleans? That’s an incredible store front–nice work.

This makes me think of IT. AGHGHGHGHGHGH!
But pretty cool, I must say. I always wondered what it would be like to tackle a mural…… Working in such a large format must be sweet!
