I painted these guns for a 4H auction.  I was able too shoot these guns with paint, rather than shoot them in the traditional sense.

The Longhorn and Aggie guns had plastic stocks and the Tech was wood.  Different prep techniques were needed to paint these guns.  With such precision equipment, extreme attention to detail when masking is mandatory because of the tight fit of the hardware.

When painting plastic, an adhesion promoter always needs to be used.  If that first step is omitted, the paint will not bond and it will chip off. With the wood, a seal primer was used, then a fill primer to fill the grain of the wood.  All of these guns were painted with House of Kolor urethane base coats and cleared.

Guns are really cool to paint because of their shape and they stand out in gun collections
