Captain America… the bike?

The guy who owns this 84’ FLHS was involved in the ultimate drive-by shooting. His electronic navigation system made it possible for an 820lb copper bullet a meter in diameter to be shot into a 4 mile wide comet at 23,000 mph. FYI, he designs electronics for spaceships.

This bike was calling to him in 1984 from a bike shop show room. He came in the next day with cash, but it was gone, so he bought a lowrider instead. Ten years later it was stolen. The day after it was stolen, he walked into a bike shop, saw this 84” FLHS which was originally red and bought it on the spot!

Now he cruises on his red white & blue Captian America FLHS. When he came to me about the paintjob, he said that wanted comic book colors, no fancy pearls and sorry…no airbrush designs. He wanted stars and stripes on his bike and vintage bags. We got the colors dialed in and the result has got to be one of my favorite paintjobs. I love airbrushing, but the over-all look of the bike as a composition the most important thing. This bike has the over-all power and attention that a bike like this deserves. Now, can we get some rocket boosters on this baby?

Thanks for the write-up, Matt. I just put some foot controls on. What’ll be next?
